Please note that online applications can only be made by those aged 16 years or more, opening a single account. For all other account types (minor, joint, club/society), you will need to make an appointment in any of our branches.
Joining our Credit Union is easy once you qualify under the “common bond” (see below) which refers to the geographical area in which West-Midlands Credit Union operates. You must live or work within this area to qualify for membership.
Our Common Bond
Membership is available to persons who share the common bond by living or working in the Parishes of Tuam, Milltown, Dunmore, Kilkerrin, Moylough/Mountbellew, Abbeyknockmoy, Cummer, Kilconly, Caherlistrane, Corrundulla/Annaghdown, Headford/Claran, Shrule, Lackagh, Turloughmore, Claregalway (north east of Clare river),those parts of Ballinlough served by churches to Ballinlough, Cloonfad and Granlahan, Moylough/Mountbellew, Menlough/Skehanagh, Ballymacward/Gurteen, it also includes persons who live or work within a 10 km radius of Athlone town and within the area defined as Castlerea, Ballinlough, Loughglynn, Cloonfad, Ballintubber, Ballydooley, Tulsk, Bellanagare, Castleplunket and Rathcroghan. Ahascragh/Caltra, Ballygar/Newbridge, Briarfield/Tohergae, Glenamaddy, Glinsk & Williamstown.
Our common bond spans parts of Galway, Roscommon, Mayo and Westmeath.
